For the first time in 18 years, the Logan Grizzlies will not be in the state football playoffs.The Grizzlies picked up their third win of the season Friday night, defeating Box Elder 31-15, but Sky View’s 21-18 loss to Bonneville eliminated the Grizzlies from playoff contention.Cache Valley’s southernmost team, Mountain Crest, clinched their playoff berth, however, with a 57-22 drubbing of Ogden behind five touchdown passes from Alex Kuresa.Up next for Mountain Crest and Sky View is a matchup with each other on Thursday night. If Sky View had defeated Bonneville, the game between the valley rivals would have been for first and second place. The matchup loses some of its luster, however, with Friday’s Sky View loss.
