In response to the increased demand for a world-class horse program, the Utah State University College of Agriculture and its department of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences will break ground for a new Equine Education Center on Friday October 9th.The event starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station Animal Science Farm located at 3580 South Highway 89-91 in Wellsville. It’s open to the public and USU President Stan Albrecht will be speaking as will USU Vice President for Extension and Agriculture and Dean of the College of Agriculture, Noelle E. Cockett.The new facility will provide significantly expanded opportuities for both horses and the people who love them: USU students as well as the public, including youths. The center will cover 26 acres and include horsestalls, an indoor arena and room for expansion.
