Swine Flu cancelling activities in Franklin County

Swine Flu has arrived in Franklin County. Last week the Southeast Idaho Health Department confirmed at least two cases of the H1N1 Swine Flu in Franklin County along with four cases in Bannock County and one in Bingham County.The cases were in adults and children with one hospitalized but has since been released. West High School Principal Spencer Barzee said last week there were two suspected cases from his school. Students with flu-like symptoms have caused the canceling of fall events over the last couple of weeks. Preston High School Principal Jeff Lords said girls soccer and volleyball matches were called off last week due to absenteeism.
