The municipal Primary election will be held on Tuesday, September 15th but you don’t have to wait until then to cast your ballot. Early voting starts todoay in many communities throughout Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris says it will continue through Friday, September 11th. You can vote Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in City Hall except for Labor Day on Monday, September 7th. Harris says it’s important to note that a recent change in Utah law requires voters to show valid identification before they can vote. Valid identification includes a photo ID issued by the state or federal government such as a Utah driver license or U.S. passport or two other forms of ID showing the voter’s name and address such as a current utility bill or bank statement. Voters without valid identification may cast a provisioal ballot and present valid identification to the county clerk within five business days of the election to have the ballot counted.
