DUI blitz tomorrow

The Utah Highway Patrol plans a crackdown on drunk drivers tomorrow. So far 130 state troopers have signed up for the DUI “blitz” that starts at 9 a.m. tomorrow.Sgt. Jeff Nigbur says a similar effort in April that lasted five days resulted in more than eight-alcohol-related arrests. Tomorrow night Nigbur says troopers will be out across the state on the lookout for impaired drivers.Col. Daniel Fuhr, Superintendent of the Utah Highway Patrol, says removing drunk drivers from state roadways is a top priority for the agency.
