Murder trial scheduled in Logan Canyon found body case

A week-long trial for a Colorado man accused of murder has been scheduled for January 2010.Robert W. Ferretti of Pueblo, Colo. is accused of slaying Tiffany Britt Jarmon of Salt Lake City and dumping her body in Logan Canyon last fall.Ferretti, 43, appeared before 1st District Judge Kevin Allen on Tuesday and agreed to the start date of Jan. 11, 2010 for his jury trial. He is charged with one count of first-degree felony murder and one count of obstructing justice, a second-degree felony. A pretrial conference was set for Sept. 8. Allen agreed to a request from Ferretti’s attorney, Bryan Galloway, that a second DNA test be performed on some money that is involved in the case. Jarmon’s body was identified Nov. 13, 2008, five days after it was found by a fisherman in Logan Canyon.
