An incumbent will be on the ballot for this year’s Logan Municipal Council election.Dean Quayle, the man who was appointed to the council to fill the term of the seat vacated earlier this year by Steve Thompson who resigned and later accepted a city fundraising position, announced his candidacy for the council on Monday.Quayle’s filing brings the total number of council candidates to four. The other candidates are Steven Stokes, Robert Horning and Holly Daines. Current Councilwoman Tami Pyfer is not seeking re-election this year.Potential candidates have until 5 p.m. on Wednesday to file at the city offices.Logan Mayor Randy Watts also is running for a second four-year term, and so far he has two challengers: Marc Haws and Mike Morrill.
