Logan police and Cache County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue officials found a missing elderly Logan man after a lengthy search Wednesday morning.Jose Uvaldo Gonzalez was reported to be missing from his home in the 400 South 200 West area of Logan. Logan Police Capt. Tyson Budge said Gonzalez was last seen in the area of 600 West and 400 South near the Logan Aquatic Center at 11 p.m. Tuesday night.Search crews found Gonzalez at about noon Wednesday. Logan Police Capt. Tyson Budge said Gonzalez was found sleeping under a delivery truck at Marty’s Distribution on 600 West. An employee at Marty’s reportedly found Gonzalez under the truck and saw search crews in the area and alerted them to Gonzalez’s presence.”Fortunately he really didn’t make it too far from where he was last seen,” Budge said. “He was talking, conscious, aware, just complaining of a few aches and pains.”Budge said Gonzalez, 75, sustained a cut finger and other than the pains that come with sleeping on asphalt for about 12 hours, was in good condition when he was returned to his family.Search crews had set up an incident command center for the search at the Cache County Fairgrounds, and for the first time, the Logan Dispatch Center used a reverse 911 system to call about 900 homes in the area with information about the missing man.
