The 17th season for the Utah Festival Opera Company opens this evening at the Ellen Eccles Theatre in historic downtown Logan with “Carmen,” which UFOC Founder/Director Michael Ballam believes is the “most beloved opera of all time.”Once again, there are four mainstage productions to be perfored in repertory so that visitors can enjoy all of the shows during a two or three-day stay. During this opening week, the UFOC is offering Cache Valley residents a 50-percent discount on tickets. To receive the discount, residents need to provide proof of redidecy. Residents can purchase two tickets per person and the discount cannot be combined with other special offers.
