Sidewalk sale starts this Thursday

Downtown Logan will continue to thrive later this week when the 37th annual Great American Sidewalk festival opens on Thursday and continues through Saturday. The annual event will come just five days after the Cache Valley Cruise In parade and one day after the opening of the Utah Festival Opera, giving people another reason to visit the downtown area. The event is hosted by the Logan Downtown Alliance and Alliance President Joseph Needham said this year’s festival has a lot of new and exciting features. Instead of having 100 North closed this year, for example, many events will be happening on the grounds of the Cache County Historical Courthouse. “It’s a beautiful place for this type of festival,” Needham said. “We’ve got two markets there, the farmer’s market and the gardener’s market … through the three days.”Needham said there will also be rides for children and a lot of food vendors.
