It’s expected to be popular, a new series of free classes on “Introduction to Setting Up QuickBooks” being offered by the Cache Business Resource Center. Cindy Roberts, Chief Operating Officer for the Cache Chamber of Commerce, says Dave Johnson, a local CPA who just returned from a stint with the Marines, is offering the class to give back to the community. “It’s directed to those lay people who are not accountants but need to do record keeping in their businesses,” Roberts explained on KVNU’s For the People program Tuesday night. ” We have the tool of QuickBooks, which is readily available but it’s so easy to use sometimes that it’s really easy to make mistakes with it. So he’s going to be there to help guide you and give you the basics as far as setting it up properly and how to avoid those common transaction errors that are made.” Roberts says the free class will be held on the first Wednesday of each month starting today at the Cache Business Resource Center. The Center is located at the Bridgerland Applied Technology College’s west campus at 1400 North 1000 West.
