The “Books and Buckaroos” exhibit at Utah State University has added an event that features Hal Cannon, founding director of the Western Folklife Center and its famous child, the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. A reception for the exhibit is also planned.Activities begin July 7th with a reception for the exhibition “Books and Buckaroos: USU’s Cowboy Poetry Collection” from 6 to 7 p.m. at the exhibit site, the foyer-lobby area of the Merrill-Cazier Library. Guests can view the exhibit and visit with the co-curators, Randy Williams and Brad Cole.Refreshments will be served. Cannon is featred in a lecture presentation at 7 p.m.
