Maureen McGovern coming to USU

USU’s Caine School of the Arts will present Grammy Award winner Maureen McGovern in “An American Tribute” with the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra directed by Craig Jessop on July 1 in Logan.The Logan performance will be followed up with performances in Idaho Falls on July 2 and in Sun Valley on July 3. The concert is a patriotic salute to American and the Independence Day holiday. The American Festival Chorus is a community-based choir sponsored by USU’s Department of Music and includes professional musicians from the region.Beginning the three-day tour, McGovern will perform in USU’s Kent Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on July 1. Her career spans recordings, concerts, theater, films, television and radio. On Broadway, she made her debut in “The Pirates of Penzance.” Jessop is the head of the departments of music and theatre at USU.
