Thousands of people have attended the Summerfest Arts Faire that opened Thursday and continues until 10 p.m. on the Logan Tabernacle lawn.Many have commented that the artists are better than ever along with the other offerings.The weather forecast for today calls for an 80 percent chance of shows and thunderstorms, especially after noon, but Marianne Sidwell, director of Summerfest, said the show will continue on, including music and food vendors, unless the weather gets particularly severe. The weather was supposed to be bad on Thursday, but the evening turned out to be beautiful and Sidwell said many of the art vendors told her they had sold a large number of their work on Thursday, which is traditionally the slowest of the three days of the festival.Also taking place today is Nibley’s Heritage Days. A parade was scheduled for 10 a.m. and activities will continue in the town all day until fireworks are shown at dark.In Clarkston, it’s Pony Express Days and along with the popular horse relay race, there’s a parade at 11 a.m. and a vintage car show at noon.
