Dean Quayle, the newest member of the Logan Municipal Council, says seeking more balanced housing for the apartment-rich area of northwest Logan will be one of his focuses while on the council. “I think we want to move ahead with balanced housing throughout the area,” Quayle said. “What’s left to be developed, it shouldn’t all be devoted to one type of housing. I’d like to see a mix of housing.” Quayle said he’s like to see the single family housing mixed with the high density housing that there’s so much of in the northwest part of town. “It needs to be a mix in that area,” he said. “So I’m concerned about that.” Quayle lives in the northwest part of Logan and said his area has previously been underrepresented. He said more and more high-density housing was allowed to come into the area, despite protests from residents.
