Valley Sports Report – June 10

All-time USU Scoring leader Jaycee Carroll is back to spend some of the summer here in the valley after a very successful first pro year in Italy with the Teramo team. Jaycee’s team made the playoffs in the Italian League for the first time in years, and he was in the top 10 in scoring and 3 point shooting this year. Carroll told Al Lewis of KVNU Sports he is headed to a mini camp with the Memphis Grizzlies this week and probably will have 2 or 3opportunities to play for an NBA team in the Las Vegas Summer League. He will also host another kids basketball shooting camp this summer at the Sports Academy.

Krista Larson is in the Womens Hammer Throw qualifying. Nick Karren in the 400 meter hurdle Trials, Casey Parker in the High Jump qualifying and Steve Strickland runs the steeplechase semi-finals.
