More than 60 vehicles were broken into over the last month in an auto-burglary ring that Logan Police broke up this week. Captain Jeff Curtis says six men, including two juveniles, formed the ring and targeted vehicles on the ‘Island’ area of Logan. Curtis says a witness was getting ready for work in the early morning hours earlier this week when he noticed a truck idling on the street without its lights on. He then heard a car alarm go off and saw a group of people run with some jumping in the truck and then pull around to pick up the others. Curtis says the witness got a good description of the truck and called police. Within a short time the vehicle was located. Curtis says the men were interviewed throughout much of Tuesday and provided information on vehicles they targeted. He says investigation is still continuing but police have recovered approximately $1500 in stolen items along with identification cards and financial cards. The juveniles involved were referred to juvenile court, and 18-year old Shane Sevy of Logan, 20-year old Bryan J. Conway of North Logan, and 26-year old Sergio Garcia of Logan were booked into jail. Another man was served a summons. Curtis says the men may also be linked to some auto-burglaries in the County.
