Director Lloyd Berentzen says the first case, a female between the age of 25 and 34 was confirmed Saturday night by the Utah Health Department. He says the second case, a male between the age of 24 and 35 was confirmed Monday. Berentzen says the two individuals are not related.”We’re following up right now with the health care providers to see exactly what the circumstances are and then make sure we’ve done the epidemiology of it. The good thing is, from what we have found out so far, there’s have been some precautions that have been taken by individuals to protect themselves, their families and individuals. So education has become a good part for them and in fact they are to commended for some of the steps that have been taken.”Berentzen said Cache residents should continue to practice good hand washing, stay home when feeling sick, and avoid close contact with others who are ill.
