It’s called a “Tribute to Lee and Shari Badger” and it’s a benefit concert for ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The event will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at 7 p.m. at the Sky View High School Auditorium. The Badgers own Lee’s Marketplace at three different locations and Lee’s son Josh says the associates at the Smithfield store have put the event together. Badger says the proceeds will go for research to help fight the devastating disease. Badger says some great people have donated their time and talent. “We have the Simmons Brothers, many of you might now them, the Utah Festival Opera, Michael Ballam is going to perform there, Ben Sallsbury, a graduate of Sky View High School years ago but an amazing pianist, Sunhouse Healers is a great group, they’ve donated their time, Just Friends and Lightwood Duo I think are all the ones that are on there right now. We’ve got something for everybody.”A silent auction will start an hour before the concert at 6 p.m. Badger says it’s tough watching his father suffer from the disease while keeping up a great attitude.
