Region 11 remains strong in latest girls basketball RPI rankings

LOGAN – Three different Ridgeline girls basketball players are among the top five in the state in four different statistical categories, which likely has something to do with the fact that the Riverhawks (11-4) are currently second in the latest Utah High School Activities Association’s RPI standings. Emma Anderson is third in 4A in rebounds per game, at 8.9, and 4th in scoring, currently averaging 15.0 points per game. Her teammate Brayli Jenks leads the state in assists per game at 4.9, and Haley Anderson is second in the state in steals at 3.3 per game.

Fellow Region 11 opponents are not far behind in the standings, with Green Canyon (11-3) ranked fifth and the Logan Grizzlies (10-4) right behind, ranked sixth. The Wolves are led by Kennedy Eskelson who currently ranks fifth in scoring (15.0), fifth in assists (3.6), fifth in steals (2.6) and eighth in rebounds (6.4). Logan is led by Amber Kartchner who is currently second in the state in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game.

Bear River (7-8) and Sky View (6-9) are just outside of the top 10, with the Bears ranked 11th and the Bobcats 12th. The Mountain Crest Mustangs (6-9) are not far behind, ranked 14th in the latest RPI standings.
