Two former Utah State football players perform well in All-Star games

LOGAN, Utah – A pair of former Utah State football players in placekicker Dominik Eberle and defensive end Tipa Galeai performed well in separate All-Star games held on Saturday.

Eberle, who played in the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., scored nine points for the West squad in a 31-27 loss. The native of Nuremberg, Germany, was 2-of-2 on field goal attempts and 3-for-3 on extra points. Eberle’s field goals were from 28 yards in the second quarter and from 26 yards in the four quarter.

Galeai, a native of Euless Texas, played in the NFLPA Collegiate All-Star Game in Pasadena, Calif. He had two tackles, including 0.5 sacks, as his National squad posted a 30-20 win.
