Ballots for November General Election are in the mail

LOGAN – Ballots for the upcoming November General Election are in the mail and will arrive in mailboxes the next few days.

Logan residents may return their voted ballot several ways:

  • Mail your ballot, postmarked no later than the November 4.
  • Drop off your ballot at Logan City Hall (290 North 100 West) inside or outside before 8 p.m. on November 5.
  • Drop off your ballot at the Cache Cache County Historic Courthouse (199 Main Street) outside before 8 p.m. on November 5.

If you prefer the traditional way of voting in an election, you will be able to do so on the day of the election.

“There will be voter assistance on Election Day,” according to City Recorder Teresa Harris. “People are welcome to come in and vote. We will have some voting booths set up if they want to come in. The ballot they receive in the mail, they are welcome to bring that and they can vote in the voting booth and drop off their ballot in person.”

There are six candidates running for three open seats on the Logan Municipal Council.

They include:

Jeannie Simmonds

Abraham Verdoes

Keegan Garrity

Tom Jensen

Ken Heare

Mark Anderson

“The Council makes important decisions,” said Harris. “People need to get involved and get out and vote.”

Logan City implemented vote by mail as a means to increase voter turnout as well as be consistent with Cache County, which is a by-mail election county.
