LOGAN – The Utah State University men’s basketball team began formal practices this week in preparation for the 2019-2020 basketball season. The Aggies return four starters (six letterwinners overall) who will be joined by nine newcomers. Head Coach Craig Smith and reigning Mountain West Player of the Year Sam Merrill met with members of the media after practice on Thursday, Sept. 26. Ajay Salvesen also spoke one-on-one with Junior point guard Abel Porter about his off-season and what the upcoming season will look like for the Aggies.

The Aggies will host College of Idaho in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Oct. 30 with the season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 5, against Montana State inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
