Sophia Marie Hendrix

May 18, 2019 – July 4, 2019

Sophia Marie Hendrix was born prematurely at 26 weeks on Saturday, May 18, 2019 and returned to her loving Father in Heaven on Thursday, July 4, 2019.

Sophia gave her parents William and Bethanie Hendrix almost 7 weeks of pure joy.  She was born at McKay Dee Hospital and was later transferred to Primary Children’s Hospital because of an underdeveloped heart.  All those who helped Sophia at both locations were touched by her sweet spirit and feisty personality.  Those who’s lives were touched by Sophia touched her life as well.  We’ll be forever grateful for your sacrifice, service and love that you gave our girl every second of her life.

While here on this earth, Sophia loved to find either Mom or Dad’s finger while they were holding and cuddling her and she would hold on tight to their fingers the entire time. Sophia knew her daddy’s voice and was calmed whenever she heard it.  Dad, Mom, and Little Miss Sophie cherished their bonding moments greatly.  Sophia was preceded in death by her older Sister Olive Kathryn who came to earth prematurely for about 10 minutes on June 25, 2017.  Sophia needed to join her sister Olive in Heaven as they were both too perfect for this world.  Together they will wait patiently for a loving reunion with their parents, extended family and loved ones.

Sophia is survived by her parents, William and Bethanie Hendrix.  Her paternal grandmother Irene Hendrix and her maternal grandparents Spencer and Wendy Brown.  She is also survived by great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the most amazing support group all of whom she will meet again someday.

A funeral service will be held for Sophia at 10:00am on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Logan River Trails Chapel at 645 Trail Circle (1800 West), Logan, Utah 84321.  Internment will be at the Millville City Cemetery where she’ll be placed alongside her older sister Olive and next to her Great Grandma Shaffer.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Sophia Marie Hendrix Memorial Fund at any Mountain America Credit Union.
