LOGAN – Stephanie George, the Cache County Fair organizational administrator, wants people to register entries online for the Cache County Fair this year. Last year, people did it onsite it was a lot of work.
“Exhibitors can create their entries for the fair online, instead of waiting in line and filling out entry forms at the fair,” she said. “There will be no more entry forms for people to fill out anymore.”
All 4-H Club exhibits, Living Arts exhibits (Home Arts, Photography, Fine Arts, Horticulture, Floriculture), Horses, Livestock and even Pigeons and Poultry can be entered online.
Entry forms can be created from computers, laptops and cell phones. With the entries filled out online, entry tags will be printed and waiting for people when they arrive with their project. The program can be used for family projects with multiple names.
There were 4,250 entries last year and it took about 20 volunteers to process them, George said.
“People would bring in forms and someone had to enter everything into the computer,” she said. “We would like to see it all done online this year.”
This way everything they enter goes directly to the judging sheet.
Last year, they tried the computer entry program on livestock and non-living exhibits and they liked the way it went.
Exhibitors can still enter at the Cache County Fairgrounds if they can’t do it online, but it is likely to take longer than doing it from a device.
