Lee’s Father’s Day car show rolls into Logan this weekend

The 11th annual Lee’s Father’s Day car show rolls into Logan this weekend and promises something for young and old.

“We really like to cater to the little kids to come and have a good time while their parents can walk around and look at the cars,” said Landon Wiley, store director of Lee’s Marketplace. “It’s been a great tradition over the years,” he said.

There were 23 cars and lots of rain the first year of the Lee’s event, according to Wiley. This year, he anticipates more than 150 cars and plenty of sunshine.

“I get people coming up to me and saying this is my favorite car show and I look forward to this every year with my family,” he said. “I’m a car guy and so it’s the ability to showcase your pride and joy that you’ve either modified or maintained over the years.”

In addition to the car show, there will be grilling, live music, games for the kids and a raffle. The money raised from the event benefits The Family Place. The non-profit’s mission is to strengthen families and protect children.

Last year we raised $11,000 for The Family Place,” said Wiley. “We are looking to beat that this year.”

The Lee’s Father’s Day Car Show is Saturday, June 16 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m in the parking lot of Lee’s Marketplace at 555 East 1400 North.

Cars will be judged by a committee and awards will be given to three best of show vehicles. You can register your car in advance at [email protected].
