LOGAN — A 38-year-old Logan man has been arrested and charged with failing to register as a sex-offender. Matthew A. Strang was booked into the Cache County Jail Monday.
According to a police report, officers responded to Strang’s home on a health emergency last week. After providing medical assistance, police learned that Strang had a warrant for his arrest out of Tennessee. Officers there claimed he failed to keep his sex offender registry up to date.
Court records show that Strang was convicted of attempted sodomy of a minor in September 2000.
Strang was cooperative with officers. He said that he thought he only had to register for 10-years, so he never registered after moving to Utah.
Court records show Strang was arraigned in 1st District Court Thursday afternoon. He appeared by video from jail, being charged with five counts of failure to register as a sex-offender, a third-degree felony.
Judge Brian Cannell ordered Strang to be held without bail. He scheduled him to appear again in court April 23.
Okay, but he is by far the least threat to society,
and we are not permitted to even mention the
worst.
he attempted Sodomy on someone…you call that not a threat to society? Really? wake the hell up.
