October 8, 1924 – November 30, 2018
Donna K. Piggott, 94, passed away at Maple Springs November 30, 2018.
She was born in Ogden October 8, 1924 to Fredrick Keeter and Gladys B. Keeter.
She attended elementary school in Ogden and Corinne, Utah and Ogden High School where she graduated in 1942. She also attended Weber College.
She has a beautiful singing voice and sang solos, duets and in choirs most of her life.
She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1946 and happily served in many callings. She and her husband, Ray, served for many years in the temple in Logan, Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile.
She met her husband, Ray, when he was discharged from the army after serving in WWII. They were married August 29, 1947 and enjoyed more than 71 years of marriage. She was a wonderful wife and mother to six children: Judy (Rodney) Gilmour, Scott (Royce), Janet (Dana Roberts), Gerald (Helena), Russell (Kathy), and Karen (Lance) Packer. She loved her 24 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren, and they all loved her in return.
Ray’s work with the US Fish and Wildlife Service took them from Salt Lake City to Phoenix, Arizona, to Glenwood Springs, Colorado and back to Logan where he retired. She had many happy memories of everywhere they lived.
One of her favorite activities was having family breakfasts up the canyon or in her backyard. She was an excellent home maker and welcomed everyone to her home. In addition to her family, she blessed the lives of people wherever she lived.
