A North Logan business owner has been arrested in Idaho, accused of assaulting a woman. Brian L. Hirschi was booked into jail early Monday morning on suspicion of attempted strangulation and aggravated battery.

Bannock County Sheriff’s deputies reported receiving a disturbance call just after 12:30 a.m. at the Blue Moon Bar & Grill, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. When they arrived, one person was found to have a bloodied and battered face. A woman also had distinct marks on her neck.

Investigators believe the incident was a domestic dispute that turned physical.

Court records show Hirschi was arraigned Monday afternoon and later posted bail. He is scheduled to appear again in court for a preliminary hearing November 5.  The felony charges could carry a prison sentence if he is convicted.

Hirschi owns BLH Enterprises Incorporated. The company rents recreation equipment in Bear Lake.
