Brundage running to reverse political apathy

Logan businessman Josh Brundage says he has always been passionate about politics and it upset him to look around and see that very few people had filed for political office this year. He decided to do so himself and now he is a candidate for Utah State Legislative District 4.

Brundage says it has been great so far meeting such friendly and encouraging people.

“I was nervous that there was this overwhelming sense of apathy,” he explains. “People were checking out. They didn’t want to even talk about politics, they didn’t want to learn about their candidates. They don’t want to hear about what’s going on in Washington or what was going on in the legislature.

“I was getting nervous about this overwhelming sense of apathy that was growing. So I wanted to run and be a positive candidate and offer something different for Utah politics.”

Brundage is a Democrat running against Republican candidate Dan Johnson.
