Man arrested after police find him unconscious in car with stolen gun

LOGAN — Police have arrested a man on suspicion of multiple felonies after the 61-year-old was found unconscious in a car over the weekend. Steven Miller was booked into the Cache County Jail on forgery, weapons and drug offences.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said officers were called to a vehicle parked near 1000 S. Main around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The caller reported an individual was sleeping in the running car for at least five hours.

When officers approached the vehicle, they found Miller unconscious. They could also see a handgun and drug paraphernalia inside.

Jensen said because of the threat of a weapon, officers entered the car, secured the handgun and woke up Miller. The gun was found to be stolen out of Las Vegas. They also found additional drugs and narcotics.

Miller is being held in jail on $50,000 bail. Formal charges are pending the investigation.
