OGDEN – A three-day convention sponsored by Jehovah’s Witnesses has the theme “Be Courageous”. The convention will take place June 22–24 at the Dee Events Center, 4450 Harrison Blvd in Ogden. Up to 5,000 convention delegates visiting from Idaho, Montana, Nevada and Utah are expected.
The convention will feature talks and interviews where delegates will learn practical ways to face present and future challenges with courage; multi-media presentations where you can observe what real people – and even five animals – can teach us about courage; a public Bible discourse on Sunday morning with the theme “The Resurrection Hope Imparts Courage – How?”’; and, on Sunday afternoon a feature film that will highlight the Bible prophet Jonah and why he feared his assignment and ran away.
The conventions will be held at venues in 180 different lands and, prior to the conventions, Witnesses around the world will also participate in a global campaign to invite the general public to attend the program free of charge. That invitation campaign has been ongoing since June 1st locally. A Spanish-language convention will be held the following weekend – June 29-July 1 – at the same location.
