Logan man arrested for allegedly breaking into storage sheds

LOGAN — Police have arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of burglarizing storage sheds in Logan, and selling the merchandise. Kaden A. Thigpen was booked Thursday night into the Cache County Jail on multiple offenses, including felony burglary and theft, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said detectives believe Thigpen cut the locks off of several sheds, stole items from inside and pawned them. Officers served a warrant to the suspect’s home Thursday afternoon. They found several items that had been reported stolen from storage sheds near 1125 West 200 North.

Thigpen is being held on $42,040 bail. He is expected to be arraigned on formal charges within the next week.

Budge said police have had previous involvements with Thigpen. Their investigation is continuing as officers try and track down the stolen merchandise.
