Valentine’s Day dinner and magic show planned for Old Rock Church

PROVIDENCE – This Historic Rock Church at 10 South Main will be transformed into a dinner theater for Valentine’s Day again this year, featuring fine dining by Iron Gate Catering and a magic show.

The magic show will be performed by acclaimed deceptionist Richard Hatch of the hatch Academy of Magic & Music in Logan. Hatch said beginning at 7 p.m. he will perform tableside close-up magic to stimulate the appetite then later reappear to do some magic with borrowed finger rings.

“You’ve probably seen me do things with large rings that I bring,” he said. “…People sometimes ask me, ‘I bet you couldn’t do that with my ring.’ Well that is what I am trying to do, to borrow some finger rings and see if I can’t do some magic with them. One of the challenges there, of course, is that the finger rings are quite small and I’m in front of a big group and want to make sure everybody gets to appreciate the effect.”

Advance reservations are required and they sell out quickly. For tickets and additional information call the Old Rock Church at 435-752-3432.
