Logan signs option to purchase property for library, but some don’t like the choice

LOGAN – Logan City has signed an option to purchase the V1 “Grizzly Station” property for Logan City, but many people don’t see it as a feasible location. At Tuesday’s meeting of the city council, Bronwyn O’Hara said she agrees with those who say it is not a good place for the library.

“They’ve mentioned the congestion of traffic for the high school and the rec center,” she said, “the difficulty of keeping high schoolers out of the parking area and the fact that it is not one complete piece of property. It would be the V1 gas, the Baugh Motel backyard and the Franz Bakery.”

She was told by the mayor and the council members that a location has not been definitely determined.
