Jose Borjon, the Consul General of Mexico for Utah and Wyoming, is visiting Cache Valley Friday. He is being hosted by Cache Community Connections, an interfaith group that sponsors community lectures and concerts.
Borjon will be meeting with several different groups throughout the day on Friday, including Rotary clubs, local government and law enforcement, USU student groups, local educators and local business and civic leaders. He will then be the keynote speaker at the Cache Community Connections event “Unity within our Community” at the Logan Tabernacle.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and will feature special musical numbers from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and First Presbyterian Church. It will also feature remarks from Hyrum Mayor Stephanie Miller, Elder Bryan Larsen, Area Seventy from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Celina Wille of USU Extension Services, and the keynote address by the Honorable Jose Borjon.
The event is free and open to all people.
