NORTH LOGAN — His background is public health, and if Dr. John Bailey becomes North Logan’s next mayor, he plans to do all he can to help keep the city healthy and strong. Bailey is completing his second four-year term on the North Logan City Council, and he said the experience has helped prepare him for the job of mayor. Although the city is known to many as a “bedroom community” to Logan, Bailey said the development of a distinct city center would help give North Logan its own identity.
“I’m aware that a lot of the citizens are not really aware of what that discussion is and if we should develop that kind of concept, what it should be,” Bailey said, “so shaping and giving more direction to what a North Logan City Center should be would be one of my priorities.”
If elected, Bailey said he would invite citizen involvement when it comes to making decisions for North Logan’s future. He would also like to cultivate strong public and private partnerships.
