Idaho man injured in motorcycle accident near Preston

Police are investigating a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon near Preston, Idaho, that sent one man to the hospital.

Idaho State Police report Brian Christensen was driving a 1985 Honda motorcycle southbound on US-91. Near milepost 20, the 45-year-old Pocatello man lost control while attempting to pass another vehicle. The bike went off the right shoulder.

Christensen was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported by ambulance to Franklin County Medical Center and later flown by helicopter to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

ISP officers report the accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
