Utah State’s Brenn Flint places 23rd in finals of women’s shot put

EUGENE, Ore. – Utah State sophomore thrower Brenn Flint placed 23rd in the finals of the women’s shot put with a heave of 14.60 meters (47-10.75) at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Finals on Thursday at historic Hayward Field.

For her efforts, the native of Syracuse, Utah, earned honorable mention All-American honors.

“It was an honor to be here and compete,” Flint said. “My warmups felt really great, but the competition was tough. It was a lot of fun being in this atmosphere.”

Flint advanced to her first-ever Outdoor Finals by placing 12th in the first round of the shot put with a personal-best mark of 15.96m (52-4.50) on May 27 at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
