Buttars on flood damage

“We’re supporting that wire with a telephone poll between two different cement barricades. That has probably prevented that telecom from actually being destroyed there. They’re keeping an eye on it. That’s probably the biggest issue; 2400 West in Benson is actually about a fourth flooded. There is water out on the highway but we haven’t closed that yet.”

Merrill on agritourism

“Chris in our community development department started working with several of the individuals as well as looking at several of the agritourism ordinances throughout the area, and came up with some proposals after meeting with these individual farmers.

“We wanted to create a zone that would make it easier for them to be able to sell their products. Agritourism is becoming very popular with tourists as well.”
