When Cache County Executive Craig Buttars took office two years ago he said his number one goal was a water conservancy district. It looks like that goal will be achieved in the near future now that voters approved a district in the November election.
Buttars says members of the board on the conservancy district will be chosen by the Cache County Council and water manger Bob Fotheringham will play a major role in putting it together.
“He’ll help to initiate the district,” Buttars explains. “Then, after the district is formed and functioning, he may play a role in consulting with the district, but he has already told us he will not work for the district.”
Buttars says Fotheringham has been extremely valuable in making the district happen.
