Head-on collision sends 5 people to the hospital

A two-vehicle accident Thursday night north of Richmond sent five people to the hospital. The head-on collision occurred at 10:38 p.m. along US-91, in front of Pepperidge Farm.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cade Brenchley said a red Chevy Cavalier was traveling north and attempted to turn left when it pulled in front of a Oldsmobile Alero, traveling in the southbound lane.

The driver of the Cavalier, 33-year-old Morgan Hall, had to be extricated from his vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital with severe injuries.

The Alero was carrying four people, 36-year-old Lisa Bleazard and three juveniles. They were also transported to the hospital with injuries.

Brenchley said all of the occupants were wearing seat belts. Troopers expect to cite Hall for failing to yield, pending their investigation.
