Elvis concert will help raise funds for new building and playground for The Family Place

Tickets are still available for a concert that features Norberto “Buddy” Reyes, father of Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes. Buddy is known internationally as the Filipino Elvis. The concert will be held Thursday, June 23rd at Four Seasons and it is a fundraiser for The Family Place.

Executive Director Esterlee Molyneux says Buddy Reyes is a talented singer, actor and entertainer who has offered to perform in Cache Valley as a fundraiser for a new building for The Family Place.

Molyneux says if all goes well, work on the building will be finished in August.

“We’re really excited about our new playground at the building,” says Molyneux. “We’ve ordered this pirate ship that is made out of concrete. Next Thursday it will be delivered to Cache Valley.

“It had to be shipped from California on a big semi truck. Then we have a crane that will be there to lift it off. We need about 100 volunteers to put that together.”

She says Reyes heartily supports The Family Place and its mission to strengthen families and protect children. Tickets for the concert are $20 in advance or $30 at the door. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and the address is 140 East 2200 North in North Logan.
