The 65th annual Day of Prayer is coming up on Thursday, May 5th and everyone is invited to attend the Cache Valley Day of Prayer Breakfast being held on that day to celebrate the event.

Pastor Ron Flessner, of the Freedom Christian Fellowship Church, says he was asked in 2012 to coordinate the Day of Prayer. It will be held from 7-9 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center at 1450 East 1500 North in Logan.

Pastor Flessner says it is appropriate for people of all faiths to gather together on this day.

“We need to pray every day,” says Flessner, “but I’m really hoping that more and more people will take advantage of the opportunity we have with the National Day of Prayer, to set it aside as a day to really seek the Lord’s blessings for our country, to confess our sin because there are many things in our country that are just not right today that are happening in all 50 states that we all need to repent of. But we need to seek Him so our country can stand.”

He says tickets for the breakfast cost $12 and they must be purchased in advance. They are available by calling Bill and JoAnn Miller at (435) 787-1245.
