Repertory Dance Theatre bringing 50th anniversary dance performance to Ellen Eccles Theatre

Repertory Dance Theatre is bringing its 50th Anniversary performance to Logan on Saturday January 29th and the event will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Ellen Eccles Theatre.

Jenn Waterhouse, marketing director for the Cache Valley Center for the Arts, says Repertory is not only Utah’s own but it is also the first nationally-recognized dance troupe.

“They have this beautiful array of dances they are coming to do,” Waterhouse explains. “They are known for pushing the envelope for modern dance but really anyone, whether you are already a devoted dance lover or if you are just curious about what modern dance looks like, you’re going to find something to really love through this.

“Even if you’d like to see their athleticism and just how graceful they are on stage, I think that they are going to be bringing some of the most incredible dance choreography to Logan that we’ve seen here in a while.”

Waterhouse says Repertory Dance Theatre will be complimenting its Saturday performance with a full week of community education coordinated by CVCA and taught by their professional dancers. There will be lectures and workshops for more than 2,500 members of the community.
