Downtown Logan hosting Zombie Walk and Halloween Treat Walk

Children in strollers, teenagers, grandmas and grandpas. They are all invited to participate in the 5th annual Zombie Walk down Historic Main Street in Logan.

Dowtown Manager Gary Saxton says the Zombie Walk will be held Friday October 30 and hopefully it will end with a lot of food for the Cache Community Food Pantry.

“We invite everyone to arrive dressed as zombies or zombie hunters to the corner of Church and Federal on Friday at 5 p.m. We’ll have a professional photographer there to take photos that will be posted online so you can print later. Then we’ll do a walk from the corner Church and Federal by Caffe Ibis to the Factory Pizzeria there on (100) South and Main Street.”

Saxton stresses that you will want to dress like a zombie or a zombie hunter. He says what this means is that you will want to look dead.

Saxton says every zombie and on-looker is encouraged to bring one or more non-perishable food items for the Cache Community Food Pantry.

Then on Saturday, another Halloween tradition will take place downtown. You can dress your children up as ghosts, goblins and ghouls, whatever you choose and then come enjoy a fun celebration of trick-o-treating during the annual Logan Downtown Treat Walk on Halloween day.

Saxton says businesses will be open and treating their visitors from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“All the parents have to do is look for the Halloween Treat Walk poster in a window or door of an establishment that is participating,” Saxton explains, “and you’ll know you can go inside to get treats for the family.”

Saxton says the businesses participating are along Main Street between 200 North and 100 South and along Center Street and 100 North between 100 West and 100 East. He says there is plenty of free parking available.
