Two incumbents and write-in candidate fill short field of candidates in Garden City

Two incumbent candidates have filed for reelection in Garden City. With two open seats, Darin Pugmire and Pat Argyle want to remain on the council.

They would most certainly retain their seats and perhaps not even need a formal election. However, Andrew Stokes has filed as a legally-verified write-in candidate.

Residents of Garden City, and Rich County overall, will also be asked to cast a vote on Proposition 1, a ballot measure in 17 counties throughout the state of Utah. Proposition 1 gives cities, counties and transit providers a quarter-cent in sales tax (except on food) to use for local transportation.

The municipal election in Garden City is being conducted entirely by mail-in vote. Those ballots must be post-marked by Monday, November 2nd or dropped off at the Garden City offices at 69 N. Paradise Parkway, Bldg B. by close of business Tuesday.
