USU women’s basketball hosting scrimmage Thursday night

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women’s basketball fans are invited to attend the team’s intrasquad scrimmage on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 8:15 p.m.

The Aggies’ practice will be held in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, immediately following the USU volleyball match against Wyoming.

In addition to Thursday’s scrimmage, Utah State’s daily practices are open to the public. The Aggies practice from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Spectrum as they prepare for the 2015-16 season.

Utah State returns six letterwinners from last year’s squad that finished the season at 8-23, with an 5-13 league record. The Aggies return just one starter from the 2014-15 team, in sophomore guard Funda Nakkasoglu. The Aggies open the season on Saturday, Oct. 31 in an exhibition game against South Dakota School of Mines at 2 p.m. The 2015-16 season will officially begin on Saturday, Nov. 14, when USU hosts Sacramento State at 2 p.m.

A USU women’s sports pass is available for $75, giving the owner entry to all home volleyball, women’s basketball and gymnastics events. The pass, as well as individual game tickets, are available through the USU Athletics Ticket Office.
