Rare breed of Clydesdales are coming to Logan for fundraiser

The Clysdales are coming to Logan Wednesday courtesy of Express Employment Professionals, a new locally-owned and operated staffing and recruiting company. Rebecca Anthony says the Clydesdales will be in the parking lot at her business at 1545 North Main (next to Hobby Lobby) from 6 to 8 p.m. for a big fun family night.

“The Clydesdales are these beautiful pure-bred horses that the owner of our corporation breeds in Oklahoma,” Anthony explains. “They are rare, black and white, gorgeous Clydesdale horses.

“What they do is they travel the country every year reaching out to visitors and families and kids across North America. They have become an ambassador for Express Employment because they have helped raise millions of dollars for charities.”

Anthony says after meeting Roger Welsh and Cache Valley for Hope it was decided to raise money for that organization. Cache Valley for Hope helps local residents struggling with cancer and the foundation has started a scholarship program to give young cancer survivors the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education.

Anthony says unfortunately almost everyone knows someone affected by cancer. She says the Clydesdales became available because they were in Utah this week for Salt Lake City’s big Pioneer Day parade.
