Cache Democrats happy with Obamacare ruling, but do expect to see modifications

It looks like the debate over Obamacare is finally over. The Supreme Court ruled last week that the plan is constitutional and Cache County Democratic Party Chairman Vince Wickwar says that means it has become law. He personally feels it was a good decision.

Wickwar says Republicans have tried many times to repeal or replace the law but that hopefully won’t happen as long as Obama is president. He says that doesn’t mean there won’t be changes to the law.

“In terms of modifying it, there are people on both sides of the aisle who are taking about some modifications,” Wickwar says. “Now that it has been in existence for a while, one can see things that are a bit rough and things that are smooth. That is to be expected with any legislation.”

Wickwar says he does not think anyone who is benefiting from the Affordable Care Act would want to give it up.
